STR K-Boys played their first official home game on Saturday morning. It may not have been the home field advantage they were expecting due to it enormous size, their first on such a field so large. It may have effected their play on Sunday, but more on that later.
Kirk Day scored first... for STR. Do ya clap in that situation or not? Tough Call. Kirk Day finished the half off with their own official goal, 1-1. After a side swap, the new morning sun shone brightly in the faces of the STR defense. They were able to block out the bright light enough to stop the onslaught of Kirk Day’s offensive attack. Jake Vitale, STR's star forward, scored in the fourth to secure a STR victory(?).
Nathan had THREE great opportunities to score his first goal of the year. He continues to show great tenacity to find the ball on attack it. Although he wouldn’t admit it, we could decipher by the look on his face he felt disappointment over his inability to slip one past the goalie. The boys are definitely having fun. The stars of the team are sure shining bright.
