On Sunday, the STR K-Boys Soccer team hit the road again to face Holy Infant for their second match of the year. It was a hot, late afternoon game with lots of scoring. STR started the barrage of goal attempts with a score just seconds into the first quarter. They finished the first quarter with 3 goals to go ahead in the game 3-0. STR continued to to pound the ball into the opponents goal. After a wise second quarter goalie change, STR netted no new goals to the total. The boys would remain scoreless until the fourth and final quarter to finish the game 5-0. The goal responsibilities were shared by Jake Vitale and Lucas Smith. All the boys played great especially Nathan who was disappointed that he too didn't score. Better luck next time Nathan.
STR will play their first home game of the season next Saturday in an early 8am match against Kirk Day. On Sunday, they will travel to St. Monica’s to play a make-up game against Holy Infant at 1pm.
